Defining the Executive Director (ED)/CEO role
is important, especially when you are also the Founder. The board/board chair and ED have a special relationship, which we'll discuss, but the Executive Director has clearly defined roles that are critical to operations, relationships, and funding.
We will explore these roles and responsibilities – and set some clear boundaries.
Congratulations! The organization has made it through the first one or two years. I'm sure you've had some highs and some lows, but have you hit the mark on key strategic goals? Has your Board of Directors been actively engaged in fulfilling their duties? How realistic is your fundraising plan? How have you impacted the lives of the population you serve?
I'll address these questions and more. [Next session: Contact to schedule 1-on-1 sessions]
